Cannabis Extracts Market Projected at US $16.6 B in 2025

Johnstown, OH (August 28, 2019) – Apeks Supercritical, one of the world’s largest CO2 botanical extraction system manufacturers, announced today, the expansion of its global headquarters in Ohio. The opening of a new 30,000 square foot state of the art manufacturing facility comes as global demand for CBD and other hemp/cannabis infused products continues its exponential growth across the world.

The new facility in Johnstown nearly doubles Apeks Supercritical’s previous space and will expand the research and development (R&D Lab), CO2 extraction system production, testing, and warehouse space. The move is necessary to meet the growing demand for oil extraction systems as the hemp and cannabis industries continue to boom.

“This is an exciting time for Apeks Supercritical and our team,” said Apeks President and Founder Andy Joseph. “We designed and built the first CO2 extraction systems 18 years ago in a pole barn in my back yard. Today we have four of the most innovative CO2 extraction systems in the industry and are consistently bringing innovative technologies to our clients.”

Apeks Supercritical employs a growing team of 40 local employees and has built a reputation for designing and hand crafting CO2 extraction systems that allow producers to make clean, high quality oils, concentrates and other infused products.

In the last seven years, Apeks Supercritical has increased revenues by 3000% and recently delivered their 600thsystem. Today, Apeks has more production systems in operation than any other system manufacturer with the global capacity of producing more than 3,000 tons of oil annually.

As Apeks continues to engineer a global footprint, the company’s culture stays rooted locally.

“Johnstown is our home. Our business was built here from the ground up and we have an incredible team of people we respect and credit equally with our success,” Director of Quality Kristen Joseph, said. “There is no question Apeks has developed superior systems that are used around the world to extract oils and we’re proud to continue expanding in Johnstown and give back to the people and the community who have been with us throughout our journey.”

The company has received a number of awards and recognitions for their work including the Smart 50 Award, MG Magazine 50 Best Places to Work For in the Cannabis Industry and the Edison Award for Innovation. They have also been recognized as the 24th Fastest Growing Private Company and were named 100 Most Brilliant Companies in Entrepreneur Magazine.

About Apeks Supercritical

Apeks Supercritical is owned and operated by U.S. Navy Veteran Andy Joseph and his wife Kristen – both certified welders and engineers. Together, the Josephs have built a globally recognized CO2 extraction brand with a focus on providing a cleaner, safer and more efficient way to extract high quality botanical oils.

Today, Apeks Supercritical has built and distributed more production CO2 extraction systems than any other company in the world and continues to evolve their technology and grow their footprint.
