Abstrax Tech Announces Groundbreaking 3D Metabolite Fingerprinting Technology

New Technology Unveils and Captures Hidden ‘Functional Flavors’ to Be Used by the Vape, Food and Beverage industry, and Beyond

IRVINE – December 9, 2019 – Abstrax Tech, a leader in the study and production of botanical and cannabis-derived terpenes, announces the release of its groundbreaking 3D metabolite fingerprinting technology. This comes at a time in which all-natural “functional flavors” via terpene extraction and formulation is becoming a hot commodity for vape, food, and beverage brands seeking to differentiate and add value to their product offerings.

Cannabis Extracts Market Projected at US $16.6 B in 2025

“We are thrilled to share this powerful, potentially paradigm-changing discovery with the world,” says Max Koby, Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Abstrax Tech. “We’ve been working around the clock with the best cultivators in the industry to discover and isolate hidden aroma and fragrance compounds from both cannabis and non-cannabis sources — and the results have exceeded all of our expectations.”

Abstrax Tech has worked extensively to analyze plants from harvest to concentrate. The process creates a unique metabolite fingerprint of each naturally occurring terpene and aroma compound, which helps researchers and product developers create powerful terpene blends for specific purposes.

“There may be several compounds hidden behind the veneer of a specific terpene, which standard lab reports don’t highlight. Our technologies allow for each of the compounds that make up a specific cultivar to be analyzed and reproduced with the most complex and precise terpene profiles sourced from botanical non-cannabis sources,” says Koby.

This means that popular cannabis strains can be reproduced, authenticated, trademarked, and sold in conjunction with major brands as part of the Growers Collection, a collaborative effort between Abstrax Tech and leading brands within the cannabis industry.

Abstrax Tech will be unveiling the technology and an expansive collection of terpenes at MJBiZCon December 11-13 at booth number C4648. Their exhibit will showcase:

1) The Growers Collection Terpene, a botanically derived collection that features the industry’s most popular cultivators and strain profiles. Abstrax Tech’s partnership with these leading cultivators has allowed them to truly capture the essence of each cultivar. These terpene and aroma compound formulations, which are native to cannabis, are developed through the company’s advanced R&D program and sourced from orange, lemon, basil, lavender, and other botanical sources.

2) The Growers Collection Live Resin Delta Vape Pen, a highly curated collection of premium fresh frozen cannabis processed into craft concentrate supplemented with any native aroma compounds lost throughout the process. This formulation process allows us to offer the industry a truly unique vape experience in the likeness of the flower derived from already popular and growing cannabis brands/products.

“Our Growers Collection Live Resin Delta Vape effort allows for us to produce a limited release of craft concentrates using our proprietary technology,” says Koby. “This literally means we can analyze any cannabis strain on the market today and reproduce it consistently in its most exact form for the world to enjoy.”

The result of such efforts is the ability to recreate the exact replicas of top selling flower profiles by leading brands. Abstrax Tech is creating strategic relationships in which licensed companies can create new products and terpenes that can be released to the public for sale — as part of the Growers Collection.

Abstrax Tech will also be showcasing its most popular terpenes from its full line of more than 300 complex terpene profiles, including upwards of 60 compounds per formulation and a database of over 1,000 strain profiles.

“Our ultimate goal is to offer as much education and guidance as possible as to what terpenes/functional flavors are, how they are derived, and how they are literally changing the world as we know it,” says Koby. According to the most recent industry projections, the industry is expected to grow more than $35 billion by 2024, with Abstrax expected to play a leading role in the development of terpene applications and functional flavorings.

This announcement also comes at a time in which the FDA and state regulators are seeking new safety rules for vape blends in the wake of recent vape-related illnesses. Abstrax Tech is working to comply with these regulations, while actively being at the forefront of ingredient research surrounding these events.

“Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and Michigan have already taken steps to protect consumers, and we’re supporting their efforts. We’ve long held the belief that MCT Oil, Propylene Glycol, and Vitamin E Acetate should not be ingredients used in vaping. This is why none of our products contain these ingredients and why we have a dedicated team to make sure we’re both complying with emerging rules and staying ahead of the curve with our research efforts,” says Koby.

Abstrax Tech is more than willing to discuss these events at MJBizCon, while showcasing its quickly expanding line of products. Visit booth number C4648 to meet the team.
