Terpenes are a large and varied group of organic compounds found in variety of plants. They are responsible for many of the effects, aromas, and flavours of cannabis but are not unique to the plant. Terpenes are produced within trichomes of the cannabis plant and their combination accounts for thousands of different strain breeds over the years. Terpenes are sensitive to high temperatures and cannabis is best stored cool to retain optimal flavour and aroma.
