Why Make Ginger Gummy Bears? There are a few reas Why Make Ginger Gummy Bears?

There are a few reasons to make ginger gummy bears. For one, ginger has a plethora of health benefits. One component of the ginger root called gingerol benefits with โ€œgastrointestinal motilityโ€ which is how fast food exits the stomach and moves onto the next stage of the digestion process. [1]

Ginger can also provide nausea relief, bloating and gas relief, and because ginger contains antioxidants, it can also help keep your cells healthy.
There are many ways to consume ginger, from ginger tea, to ginger ale, to ginger beer, and ginger supplements.

So, why gummy bears specifically? Well ginger gummies are fairly easy and cheap to make at home and while you could just use a simple ice tray, making them gummy bears just makes them kind of cute!

Toll processing services are becoming increasingly Toll processing services are becoming increasingly common within the botanical extract industry. These types of services are already in use by many industries, and youโ€™re likely consuming products manufactured by toll processors without even knowing.
From product separation to solvent recovery, quality improvement, and refinement there are several ways extractors can benefit from toll processors in the field of food, cosmetic and pharmaceuticals among others.
What is Toll Processing?
Toll processing goes by many names. You may have heard it referred to as toll manufacturing, tolling, toll conversion, or contract processing. All of these refer to the same process. It involves outsourcing a third-party processor to handle specific stages of a business.
When it comes to the botanical industry, toll processors are usually contracted to assist with extraction, packaging, distribution, lab testing, or more. Processors charge fees for the use of their equipment, expertise, and business network.

The global plant extract market size is growing st The global plant extract market size is growing steadily, reaching a value of $22.49 billion by 2030, which hints at a lucrative opportunity for entrepreneurs. [1] This brief article gives helpful tips on marketing extracts such as turmeric, ginger, and mushrooms.
Learn the Laws
Most plant extracts are legal across the globe. [2] Curcumin and ginger extract fall in this category. This means that there are hardly any restrictions as to how you can market them.
The regulatory framework of psilocybin is hazy because of the illegal status of mushrooms containing the active compound. Some US cities such as Denver in Colorado, Oakland in California and Portland in Oregon have decriminalized psilocybin mushrooms. That said, thereโ€™s a thriving underground market for mushroom extracts.

Bees are one of the most important insects in agri Bees are one of the most important insects in agriculture as pollinators and as producers of honey.
Honey bees are known to pollinate 70-80% of plants on earth. Due to their importance, honey bees health is an ongoing concern as decline in populations continue to occur due to severe diseases. The microbial balance of honey bees is affected by a variety of agricultural, developmental and environmental influences. [1] Bacteria, insecticides, fungi, viruses, and predators are a constant concern for bees populations. [2]
Bees and Extraction
Botanical extraction is the process of extracting active compounds from plants. In recent studies certain plant extracts have proven to be effective against Paenibacillus larvae inducing american foulbrood disease and Ascosphaera apis fungus inducing chalkbrood in young bees.

Winterization This method also known as fractiona Winterization

This method also known as fractionate crystallization involves the use of extremely cold temperatures to remove lipids from crude extracts. This technique is used to refine oils from higher melting points fats and waxes. Lipids are fatty acids which can be extracted by certain solvents along with the desired active compounds and once precipitated out the mixture they can be removed through filtration or centrifugation. Removing lipids is important because it helps create a higher purity extract, which means a better product with prolonged shelf-life. [1]

The amount of fat in the extract being winterized will depend on what extraction technique is used. Cold ethanol is the best method for reducing the amount of fat in the extract.

There are many different methods used to extract a There are many different methods used to extract active compounds from plants including maceration, percolation, and Soxhlet extraction. Depending on the needs and the laboratory set-up it is possible to choose the most suitable method.
What is maceration?
The maceration extraction process is a simple one. First, the drug (which is either whole or powdered) gets put into a container with a solvent. It will then be left at room temperature for a minimum of three days. After the proper amount of time, the resulting mixture is separated from the plant matrix through filtration. [1] The left over solid matter can be extracted multiple time to maximize the yield and can be pressed to recover as much extract as possible.
What is percolation?

Botanical insecticides are naturally occurring com Botanical insecticides are naturally occurring compounds present in plants. Plants use these compounds as a way to defend themselves from diseases and predators like insects. Botanical insecticides were widely used before the development of artificial insecticides and they have many benefits compared to them. [1]
Botanical Insecticide Types
Pyrethrum: it is a dried flower head of a chrysanthemum flower. It has six insecticidal compounds called pyrethrins capable of inducing paralisis in insects. These substances are extracted from the seed cases and collected as an oleoresin.
Rotenone: Rotenone can be found in the roots of Lonchocarpus and Derris Rotenone is isolated through acetone extraction and it is toxic to insects affecting their nerve and muscle cells.
Sabadilla: Sabadilla is taken from the seeds of a tropical flower. The seeds contain alkaloids that cause insects to lose nerve function.
