Managing Editor

At the moment I’m working as a scientific consultant for some Swiss medical Cannabis companies and I support them in the implementation of their laboratory techniques and procedures. I was working as editing manager of Extraction Magazine and CBD Health & Wellness journals in addition to writing for them and Terpenes & Testing Magazine.

With the journal’s top-managing reorganization, I’m still the editing manager and writer for Extraction Magazine and Highburg Journal. I worked as an associate technician in Janssen pharmaceutical companies of Johnson&Johnson in Leiden in the Netherlands.

There I was working in the quality control department, performing analyses on final product stability following GMP/GLP standards.

After that I worked in Rotterdam in the dutch company Maripharm B.V. and I was the responsible for the R&D extraction department, focussing on new methods for extracting terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids using tetrafluoroethane (R-134a).

Moreover I performed analysis on phytochemicals content of medical grade Cannabis and I collaborated in the GMP production and shelf life tests of CBD-containing products for medical and beauty purposes. The experience of Erasmus in France at the Ecole Normale superieure of Lyon in 2013-14 and the stage in extraction of natural substances that I did in the laboratory of the prof.

Armando Doriano Bianco, during my bachelor’s degree, formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in the field of organic chemistry.

During the years of university studies I gained skills in both synthetic organic chemistry (Master) and analythical chemistry (Master and Bachelor). In 2019 I finished a research master in biochemistry in Leiden University and i did an internship (November 2017-October 2019) in Biosyn research group on “Total synthesis of 4-thioadenosine, possible antidote for ricin poisoning” and “Total synthesis of pyranosides containing endocyclic sulfur for experimental study of stereoselectivity in glycosylations”.

As technical skills I’ve knowledge and experience in the use of laboratory equipment (e.g. Rotavapor, GC-MS, HPLC-MS, NMR, UV-Vis, cIEF protein analyzers, extraction equipment) and procedures (e.g. Column chromatography, TLC, Extractions, synthesis) and I can work following GMP/GLP regulations.
