How To Make Your Own Ginger Gummy Bears
First-things-first, let’s talk about what you’ll need. The equipment you’re going to need is a whisk, a pan, and a candy mold for the bear shape. The ingredients you’ll need are:
- 6 tablespoons of gelatin powder
- ⅔ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons of honey
- And 1-2 teaspoons of freshly grated ginger
To make them, you’ll first put the honey and lemon juice together in the pan and then whisk them together. After whisking the honey and lemon juice, sprinkle the gelatin on top. Cook it over a medium flame without ever letting it boil. It just needs to get hot enough to dissolve the gelatin. [2] By the end of this step, the liquid will turn clear, get thicker, and smell weird (that’s okay).
The next step is to simply take the liquid off the heat, pour it into the bear mold, let them sit until they have completely cooled, then you can store them refrigerated for five days.
Just like that, you’ve made your own ginger gummy bears. It’s super simple and straightforward.
